Results of 2021
2021 has been a real test for our team. A lot of interesting things happened during the past year. We are proud to have delivered on our promise to renew our fleet.We increased our car park with new cars: 2 Ford Mustangs of 2019; as well as a 2020 Dodge Challenger 6.4L,while Dodge Challenger with a 3.6L engine with changed by 2020 Challenger with a 5.7L engine in the most beautiful Mango color. In the early spring of 2021, we decided to dilute our sports car fleet with the premium 2021 Mercedes G500 SUV. And on April 1, we ordered a completely new Mercedes G-Class. As it turned out, since 2019 there were no 'cubes' in the Mercedes showroom, as the car dealer explained to us. Therefore, it was decided to give an advance payment and wait 4 months for a new Geländewagen. But we had to wait a little less, and on the 20th of June, we were told at the car dealership that our cube had rolled off the assembly line and would be in Kiev within a week. All along, in July, we had a Mercedes G500 new for rent. When we were picking up our car from the Mercedes dealership in Stolichka, we were still dreaming of getting the Mercedes W223. Having lived with this thought, the next day we decided to buy a new Mercedes S350d Long. The cars that were available were not suitable in the existing configuration, so the decision was taken to have car in configuration with all options that suit us the best. Mercedes S-class new, was ordered. But at the end of August, we were informed that due to the global shortage of semiconductors, we could not be supplied with monitors for the rear passengers and lighting, so we had to put up with their absence. But since our company specializes in car rental without a driver in Kiev, we decided not to wait for the rear monitors. Everything else was received as ordered. Mercedes-Benz did not violate the delivery deadlines, and in October our fleet was renewed with a new premium Mercedes S-Class sedan. Rental without a driver Mercedes S-Class in Kiev is available from October. That's all the novelties of our park in 2021.
Not only good news in 2021, but unpleasant stories were also present. Our favourite and most popular yellow Ford Mustang was wrecked at the start of the season. The client, neglecting the traffic rules, rushed around Kiev at high speed and out of the blue lost control, crashed into a lightning pole. As a result of this accident, miraculously no one was injured, as the car was flying in the direction of a bus stop where people were but crashed into a reinforced concrete pole 3 meters from the stop. In our company all cars are insured under the CASCO program at the ARX insurance company https://arx.com.ua. Previously, we have never applied to this company with insured events, we did not have any serious accidents before. Therefore, we had no idea how long will it take to resolve the issue of insurance compensation. At the scene, the accident was immediately reported to the insurance company, a representative of the insurance company arrived and examined the scene of the accident and the car. ARX immediately sent a tow truck for free and gave a list of service stations where we could take the car. Within a week, the car was inspected, forms filled and all necessary documents provided, and to our surprise, after 3 weeks we were informed that the amount of insurance compensation had been agreed ready to be paid. Of course, the crash was an unpleasant event, but it helped us to test our insurance partners and confirm that they are reliable and trustworthy. In conclusion, we express our gratitude to ARX for the quick solution to our problem. Since during the accident in Ford Mustang all the safety devices worked and the main elements of the body were deformed, we decided not to restore the car, but to sell it in the condition in which it was after the accident. As for the client who crashed a car, his responsibility was covered by the safety deposit, and that was the end of our financial issues with him.
The second unpleasant story happened with the client who used our cars to commit fraud. The guy who rented an expensive car used it to show off his success, cheated people, took money in loans and in one of the cases left our Chevrolet Camaro car as collateral to his friend, explaining that it was his property. Having taken a large amount of money he disappeared. We recovered our car in the town of Smela and filed a complaint with the police. As a result, it turned out that this guy was a rare swindler and scored a round sum from trustful citizens of the Cherkasy region more than $ 500,000 and disappeared in an unknown direction. As a result: our Chevrolet Camaro was arrested and was held by the police for 2 months, after which it was handed over to us for safekeeping. A criminal case has been initiated against that person and we hope that our law enforcement agencies will find him and put him to justice.
That's where all the bad stories ended. Dear customers, a huge request: when you rent a car without a driver in Kiev, treat the car nicely as if it was your own, we, in turn, will thank you with indecently large discounts and excellent service.
What innovations to expect in 2022:
